OUR STORY
Peachy Clean® Silicone Dish Scrubbers
Peachy Clean® started by accident in the carpet capital of the world, Dalton, Georgia. Our owner, Charlie Hubbs, used to be in the carpet industry. Charlie, with his partners, invented a new technology to make a rubberized, high-end carpet pad. One day Charlie's son Zach was at a sink in the carpet plant and noticed some of the material sitting next to the soap. He had grime on his hands and arms and decided to use the material to scrub everything off. It worked great! If ever there was a lightbulb moment, that was it. Zach had just been cleaning his kitchen the previous week and noticed a foul smell on his hands. What had caused his hands to smell? It was the sponge he had been using to clean.
The Hubbs family worked on Peachy Clean® for four years to bring it to market, making countless prototypes and variations, eventually perfecting the high-end silicone product we have today. During this time, the family brought a prototype scrubber that they had been using to wash dishes for many months to a meeting in hopes of making the consultants understand just how far our product stands out in its market. The family did not disclose the scrubber's age and history to the audience before being passed around from consultant to consultant. Each person was asked to smell the material. When it got to the last person, Zach explained that the dish scrubber they were holding and smelling had been used for many months before this meeting. The person holding the scrubber dropped it in disgust immediately, then realizing the magnitude of the invention lying in front of him, grabbed the scrubber and jumped to his feet.
In a field of low-end products, many of which are brought in from overseas Peachy Clean® stands apart as an American-made product that prides itself on innovation and quality. Traditional sponges can be the dirtiest place in your home, even worse than the toilet. Peachy Clean® resists those nasty odors caused by bacteria growth, mold, and mildew. Peachy Clean® lasts longer and is, of course, safe to use on your pots and pans. A moist environment helps breed bacteria; that is why Peachy Clean® is specially designed to be fast drying!
Is Peachy Clean® different? Absolutely. Peachy Clean® is a reinvention of dish and cookware cleaning. Peachy Clean® is proudly made in Peach State, USA, with American-made raw materials by a family business.
